Naval guns and mounts carry the same unrecorded lives as their airborne and ground counterparts. DERECHO evaluates them as candidate host classes for the shared architecture, an expansion horizon, stated exactly as that.
Candidate Host Classes
Large-caliber deck guns whose tubes and mounts accumulate fatigue and thermal life fleet-wide, a candidate class for tube-health and mount-record concepts.
Very-high-rate systems whose condition truth today is inspection-interval truth, a candidate class for usage and thermal-record concepts.
Deck-mounted crew-served weapons and stabilized gun mounts are further candidate classes in the same horizon.
The Readiness Problems
Individual mount and tube usage records across a fleet sustained by inspection interval.

Status
What exists: a sensing architecture developed and being hardened on ground and airborne articles; nothing inside the bore. no fire-control interface. no change to baseline weapon operation. if every sensor fails, the crew still has a fully functioning weapon.
What does not exist: any naval package, designator, hardware, installation, shipboard trial, sea test, or integration of any kind. No claim is made regarding any specific naval weapon system, and nothing on this page implies a Navy relationship.
