This policy explains what information derechodefense.com collects, why, and what we do with it. This is an informational website. We do not sell products online, run accounts, or process payments through it. Most information we hold about visitors is information they chose to send us in an inquiry.

1. Scope

This policy applies to derechodefense.com and to inquiries we receive through it. It does not apply to:

• Information governed by a separate written agreement, including non-disclosure agreements and government contracts
• Employment records of current DERECHO personnel
• Third-party websites we link to

2. Information You Provide

When you contact us, we collect what you send. Contact with DERECHO through this website is by email to info@derechodefense.com. What we receive is what you choose to include: typically your name, your email address, your organization and role if you state them, and the content of your message.

Some inquiries carry additional context by their nature. A government or evaluation inquiry may include your agency and your area of interest. A supplier inquiry may include your capabilities. An investor inquiry may include your firm. We collect this because you chose to tell us, and we use it to respond.

3. Inquiry Email Information

We use inquiry emails to understand and respond to the inquiry, route it internally, and keep a record of the exchange.

4. Inquiry Categories

We may operate separate intake paths for government, evaluation, partner, supplier, investor, media, careers, and general inquiries. The categories differ in routing, not in how carefully we handle the information.

5. Applicant Information

We do not operate an online application system on this website. If you send a careers inquiry by email, we handle it as an inquiry under this policy.

6. Information Collected Automatically

Our web servers and infrastructure generate logs as a normal part of operating a website. These typically include IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, and browser and device information. We use them to operate the site, diagnose problems, and detect abuse, and we retain them for a limited period appropriate to those purposes.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website sets no cookies. Our Cookie Notice describes the one first-party session-storage entry in use and how to control it. We do not use cookies or any similar technology for advertising or tracking.

8. Embedded Media

This website does not embed video or other media hosted by third parties. All images and video are served directly from this website, so no media provider receives your IP address or sets cookies when content loads.

9. Where Information Comes From

We get information from you directly, from your device and browser automatically, and occasionally from publicly available sources when we are verifying who an inquiry is from.

10. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Respond to inquiries and communicate with you
• Evaluate potential business, supplier, teaming, and employment relationships
• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website
• Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• Meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

11. Communications

We use your contact information to reply to you. We do not currently offer an email updates list, and we do not add inquiry contacts to a marketing list without a clear opportunity to decline.

12. Security and Abuse Prevention

We use logs and technical measures to protect the site against abuse, automated attacks, and misuse. This may include rate limiting and anti-spam measures. This website has no forms and uses no CAPTCHA or similar third-party verification service.

13. Website Improvement

We may analyze usage in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and how to improve them.

14. Legal Compliance

We may use and retain information as needed to comply with applicable law, including export control, sanctions, and government contracting requirements.

15. Government Requests and Legal Process

We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property. Where we are permitted to do so, we will consider notifying the affected person.

16. Service Providers

We use third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, and related functions. Providers receive only what they need to perform their service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

17. Professional Advisers

We may share information with legal, accounting, insurance, and similar advisers who are bound by confidentiality obligations.

18. Business Transfers

If DERECHO is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy.

19. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

DERECHO does not sell personal information, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This website uses no analytics services, no advertising technology, and no third-party embeds that could constitute a sale or sharing under any state law.

20. Advertising

We do not use this website for behavioral advertising and do not permit third-party advertising networks to collect information through it.

21. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and to meet legal, contractual, and recordkeeping obligations. Inquiry records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to handle the inquiry and maintain ordinary business records, unless a longer period is required by law or contract.

22. Data Security

We use safeguards designed to protect information in a manner appropriate to its nature and the risk involved. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. DERECHO cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not describe our specific security measures publicly.

23. State Privacy Rights

Several United States states give residents rights over their personal information, which may include the right to know what is collected, to obtain a copy, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.

DERECHO's obligations under these laws depend on thresholds tied to revenue, the number of consumers whose data is processed, and the nature of that processing. As an early-stage company operating an informational website, DERECHO may fall below the applicability thresholds of some or all of these laws.

Regardless of whether a particular law applies to us, we will consider any request described in Section 34 and respond to it. Where a statute applies, we will comply with it.

24. California

California residents: see Sections 23 and 34. We respond to requests from residents of every state; where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to DERECHO, we comply with it.

25. Delaware

Delaware residents: see Sections 23 and 34. Where the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act applies to DERECHO, we comply with it.

26. Florida

Florida residents: see Sections 23 and 34. Where the Florida Digital Bill of Rights applies to DERECHO, we comply with it, and we comply with Florida breach-notification requirements where they apply.

27. Global Privacy Control

This website does not engage in selling or sharing of personal information as defined by applicable law, so no opt-out preference signal is applicable to it. If that ever changes, we will honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required.

28. Do Not Track

Browsers may send a Do Not Track signal. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to it, and we do not currently respond to it. This does not affect Section 27.

29. Children

This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

30. International Visitors

This website is operated in the United States and intended for a United States audience. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy law differs from the law of your location. We do not represent that our practices comply with the data protection law of any jurisdiction outside the United States.

31. Sensitive and Controlled Information

Do not submit sensitive personal information through this website. We do not need your government identification number, financial account details, health information, or biometric data, and we do not ask for them.

32. Do Not Submit Restricted Information

Do not submit classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information, export-controlled technical data, source code subject to access restrictions, procurement-sensitive or source-selection information, or third-party proprietary information through this website or by ordinary email.

This applies with particular force to free-text message fields. A description of a requirement, a program, a technical problem, or an operational need can carry controlled information even when no document is attached. If you are unsure, send us a short message asking for a secure channel and we will arrange one before you send substance.

33. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of the page.

To ask a question about this policy, or to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable period and, where a statute applies, within the period it requires.
