This page explains what the information on derechodefense.com is, and what it is not. DERECHO builds developmental defense hardware and software. Much of what we show is early, in progress, or illustrative. We would rather say so plainly than let a rendering or a photograph imply something it should not.
1. Who Operates This Website
This website is operated by DERECHO, INC. ("DERECHO," "we," "us," "our"), a Delaware-registered United States defense technology company. Public brand references to DERECHO refer to DERECHO, INC. unless stated otherwise.
2. Informational Purpose
This website is informational marketing material. What it presents are representations of research and development: descriptions, imagery, and concepts reflecting work in progress. It describes who we are, what we are building, and how to reach us. It is not a catalog, a procurement portal, a technical data repository, or a substitute for a written agreement.
3. Developmental Product Status
DERECHO products, systems, subsystems, and software described on this website are under development. Descriptions reflect design intent and current work rather than delivered, qualified, or fielded capability.
Unless a specific page states otherwise, visitors should assume that anything shown is developmental.
4. Prototypes, Display Models, and Notional Configurations
This website may show:
- Engineering prototypes and test articles
- Non-functional display models and mockups built for exhibitions
- Notional configurations that illustrate an approach rather than a finished design
- Hardware in an intermediate state of assembly
A display model is not a product. A prototype is not a production article. Photographs of hardware do not establish that the hardware performs the functions described near it.
5. Rendered, Illustrative, and AI-Assisted Media
Some imagery and video on this website is rendered, composited, illustrative, or produced with AI-assisted tools. Mission imagery may depict a concept of employment rather than a completed capability, a conducted test, or an actual operation.
Where a distinction between actual and illustrative media would matter to a reasonable viewer, we intend to label it. If any image on this site is unclear, contact us and we will tell you what it shows.
6. Limits on Technical Information
Technical information on this website is summary-level and intended for public release. This website does not contain, and is not a channel for, export-controlled technical data or other controlled information. It is not a specification, an interface control document, a performance guarantee, or a basis for engineering or procurement decisions. Detailed technical information is exchanged only through approved channels and, where appropriate, under a written agreement.
7. Specifications and Configurations Subject to Change
Product names, configurations, interfaces, dimensions, performance characteristics, and availability are subject to change without notice. Nothing on this website establishes a fixed configuration or a committed specification.
8. No Representation of Commercial Availability
Nothing on this website should be read as a representation that any product is presently available for sale, delivery, license, or export.
9. No Offer, Commitment, or Proposal
This website is not an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, a quotation, a bid, a proposal, or a commitment of any kind. It does not create a contract, a teaming arrangement, a supplier relationship, or a customer relationship.
Only a written agreement signed by an authorized DERECHO representative creates binding obligations.

DERECHO is a private company. Nothing on this website should be read as an endorsement, sponsorship, approval, certification, or affiliation by or with the United States Government, the Department of Defense, any military service, any government agency, or any government official.
11. Meetings, Trials, Demonstrations, and Imagery Do Not Establish Adoption
Descriptions of meetings, briefings, industry events, trials, evaluations, demonstrations, or exercises, and images taken at or near them, do not by themselves establish that any organization has adopted, approved, procured, endorsed, or operationally deployed a DERECHO product.
The presence of a uniformed person, a government facility, an installation, a unit, an insignia, or a vehicle in any image does not imply that the associated organization uses, has evaluated, or has approved any DERECHO product.
12. Third-Party Marks and Imagery
Product names, company names, logos, and marks belonging to third parties are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on this website does not imply any relationship, sponsorship, or endorsement in either direction.
13. Creator Attribution and Licensed Media
Some media on this website was created by contributors under arrangements requiring attribution or limiting reuse. In particular: certain concept renders were produced by an independent artist and are credited "Rendered by ollysaerospace," some under prior FORGELAB branding; certain photographs are official U.S. government visual information used as public-domain material, accompanied by notices that no government endorsement is implied; and certain imagery and video is AI-generated concept material, labeled as illustrative where it appears. We work to keep this website accurate, but information may become outdated, and errors are possible. We may change or remove content at any time without notice. We do not undertake to update any particular statement.
