Suspension and release equipment is sustained today on trust and teardown: structural fatigue accumulates with no per-serial record, and release anomalies are investigated with no data from the article itself. SUR-R is the package concept for per-article structural-usage records, release-event verification at a high level, and condition-based inspection; passive, article-mounted, and independent of aircraft systems.
Captive-carry training stores
Training rounds fly thousands of sorties in one of the harshest vibration environments in the inventory, and are condemned by calendar, not by what each round absorbed. SUR-C is the package concept for an individual exposure record over each article’s service life: condition-based life management, station-to-station comparison, and fewer good rounds retired early.
